BREAKDOWN – 2013/18 (AWAY I GO – CHAPTER 2)

BECAUSE OF THE ECONOMIC CRISIS, I HAD TO LEAVE MY APARTMENT IN PARIS IN SEPTEMBER 2011. IT WASN’T EASY TO FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO STAY, SO MY OLD VOLKSWAGEN BUS BECAME QUICKLY MY SMALL REFUGE FROM REALITY, WITHOUT COMFORTS, BUT WITH AN INCREDIBLE PANORAMIC VIEW. THE TEN BUS WINDOWS BECAME TEN SCREENS TO WATCH. ONE DAY I STARTED TO TAKE PICTURES FROM THE INSIDE OF MY PARKED BUS. FROM THEN ON, I DECIDED TO GO AWAY FROM PARIS AND STARTED TAKING PICTURES DRIVING AROUND. THE BAY WINDOW SERIES WAS BORN. TWO YEARS LATER, IN SEPTEMBER 2013, THE 34 YEARS OLD ENGINE OF MY VOLKSWAGEN BUS DEFINITIVELY BROKE DOWN SOMEWHERE IN THE FRENCH ALPS. I THEN LEFT MY OLD BUS IN A SAFE PLACE AND WAITING TO FIX IT, I HAVE RESURRECTED THE OLD FORD STATION WAGON OF MY FATHER AND I KEPT GOING. THIS IS WHAT I SAW.
